# Open Food Facts barcode derivative notice

This directory contains a standalone barcode derivative built from the frozen Open Food Facts staging export plus the small, source-captured [MyProtein contemporary additions](off-live-myprotein-20260906.json). It is separate from the site's other food data and does not change the licence or provenance of those data sets.

The derivative database is available under the [Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0](https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/1-0/). The Open Food Facts individual database contents are available under the [Database Contents License](https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/dbcl/1-0/).

Primary source: [Open Food Facts](https://world.openfoodfacts.org/) official static CSV, acquired and frozen 2026-09-05. Snapshot SHA-256: `f72687ee8bc6522054fe69dbfda6b91902c16af1ec2e043cde27bc6c29ad8176`.

The contemporary additions capture three explicit MyProtein GTINs from the official product API on 2026-09-06. Each record retains its product API URL, source date, capture hash, named variant, explicit gram quantity and per-100g basis. They are standalone barcode records, not joins to the site's separate food catalogue.

The complete machine-readable derivative is [off-barcode-v1.json](/data/off-barcode/off-barcode-v1.json). Its deterministic SHA-256 is published in [off-barcode-v1.sha256](/data/off-barcode/off-barcode-v1.sha256). The build report records the transformation checks and rejected rows in [off-barcode-v1.build-report.json](/data/off-barcode/off-barcode-v1.build-report.json).

The deterministic transformation method is available in [build_off_barcode_bundle.py](/scripts/build_off_barcode_bundle.py).

No product images are included. Product labels and packs can change: check the physical pack before relying on a barcode result.
