Overview
The PepTracker app collects no personal data. All data you enter stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. The irishpeptides.ie website uses standard analytics and email tools described below.
This policy covers two distinct services:
- irishpeptides.ie — the public website, which uses Google Analytics and email signup.
- PepTracker app — a fully on-device personal research journal. No data ever leaves your device.
PepTracker App — Data Collection
The PepTracker app stores all data exclusively on your device using your browser's localStorage. This includes:
- Cycle names, compound names, dates, and durations
- Daily wellbeing scores (energy, sleep, mood, recovery)
- Daily notes and journal entries
- Weight log entries
- Progress photos (stored in your device's browser storage)
- Dose log entries
None of this data is transmitted to any server, third party, or external service. We cannot see it, access it, or recover it if you delete it. It exists only on your device.
The app does not require an account, email address, or any form of sign-up. No cookies are set by the PepTracker app itself.

Google Analytics (GA4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use irishpeptides.ie. GA4 collects anonymised data including page views, session duration, approximate geographic region (country/city), device type, and referral source. This data is processed by Google and governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We have configured GA4 with IP anonymisation enabled. Analytics data is only loaded after you accept cookies via our consent banner.
Email Signup (Resend)
If you sign up for email updates on irishpeptides.ie, we collect your email address. This is stored and processed via Resend, our email infrastructure provider. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. We do not sell or share your email address with any third parties.
Cloudflare
Our website and app are served via Cloudflare's infrastructure. Cloudflare may process IP addresses and request metadata for security and performance purposes as a necessary infrastructure processor. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Legal Basis (GDPR)
We are based in Ireland and operate under EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). Our lawful bases for processing personal data are:
- Consent — GA4 analytics loaded only after cookie consent is given.
- Legitimate interest — Cloudflare infrastructure processing for security and performance.
- Contract performance — Email address stored if you explicitly request communications.
Your Rights (GDPR)
As an EU/EEA resident you have the following rights:
- Right of access — Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Right to erasure — Request deletion of your personal data. For PepTracker app data, use the "Delete All Data" button in the app's More section — this instantly and permanently removes all locally stored data.
- Right to rectification — Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Right to restrict processing — Request that we limit how we use your data.
- Right to data portability — Request your data in a portable format.
- Right to object — Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Right to withdraw consent — Withdraw cookie consent at any time via our cookie banner.

Data Retention
- PepTracker app data — Retained on your device indefinitely until you delete it via the app. We hold no copies.
- GA4 analytics data — Retained for 14 months per our GA4 configuration, then automatically deleted by Google.
- Email addresses — Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
Cookies
irishpeptides.ie uses a cookie consent system. Analytics cookies (GA4) are only set after you explicitly accept. Essential cookies (Cloudflare security) are set automatically as necessary infrastructure. You can manage or withdraw consent at any time using the cookie settings link in our site footer.
The PepTracker app does not use cookies. It uses browser localStorage, which is only accessible to the app on your device.
Children's Privacy
PepTracker is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the app or website, contact us immediately at [email protected].
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised. Continued use of the site or app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
